I'm working on a quilt called chelsea garden, but instead of using the pattern recommended fabrics, I'm using different ones.

Also instead of appliqueing the flowers it calls for, I am using wild flowers (from EL) and am embroidering them.

I have 3 embroidered, and 5 to go. (The pink is my carpet)

Yes it is. I'm kinda using my own colors to coordinate with the fabrics.

Wow, just gorgeous and good for you to decide your own fabric and flower choices. Creativity is so much better than copying however, I DO copy as I don't have alot of "color sense" when arranging colors in fabric. I'm REALLLY good at red, whites and blues but my color talents ends there.

Your quilt is just going to be beautitul!! I just love the embroidered flowers, I think that is really going to set it off very nicely. Can't wait to see it completed. Sorry I can't see well enough to tell, are your flowers hand done or machine embroidered? Keep us posted
