That is one beautiful quilt, I love the french braid design and like the quilt as you go concept! (always learning on this board)

Thank you all for the lovely comments. I was really unsure when I started it whether the blues would be too much together but I'm really happy with it. So is my "quilting buddy".

I've been working (in my mind's eye) how I'm going to do the drop (14" on the sides) in a quilt as you go method and built stars for the corners so the quilt been folded up on my sewing table - he's slept on it for the past two nights. Definately will need a wash before it gets sent to Oregon!
