This site is awesome thank you! So how do I figure out how much fabric to get for a twin bed? Or do I just buy a couple yards and see how much it makes?

Your yardage will depend on the size on your quilt. How much do you want to hang down on the sides and the bottom? Does it need to be long enough to cover the pillows?

For example a quilt 72x94 would need about 4.5 yards. Then if you are going to use a certain number of fabrics in equal amounts, just divide 4.5 yds by the number of fabrics to know about how much of each fabric you need. This is what I would do, but I would be generous in my estimates. I like to have 'leftovers.' And remember you are using yardage for seam allowances.

I tried that site, but you can't print them, so what good is that.

All I want is a print out of a Chevron pattern.

Quilterscache has free downloads. You shouldn't buy anything to download a pattern. I've printed MANY.

On Quilterscache just make sure you find the white bar (drop down menu) it says "where do you want to go today?" click on this bar and scroll down to "Quilt Blocks Galore-Free Quilt Block Patterns" also, be sure to spell "Quilterscache" correctly or it will take you to a different site....it can happen. (I tend to forget the 'S')
good luck!
