Default Whirling Octagons

I stumbled across this block when fishing around online for inspiration.
It was not fun, I can tell you, drawing it into EQ; but I managed to create a usable pattern.

I did straight-line at the ditch in the octagons and background.
I used my embroidery machine to quilt the centers and the border.

The quilt will be added to many the quild i belong to are going to donate to The Lydia Project:

very nicely done. i'm not sure how i would approach drawing that in EQ. i think i see that the longer orange strip is a meeting of the strip in the triangle y-seamed to the octagon; right? and i like the border treatment, too.

Everything about this quilt is delightful. Colors, fabric patterns, block, and quilting are all superb.

That is a beautiful quilt. The pattern is very intriguing! Color choices are great. I checked out the website as I had not heard of that project. Looks like another wonderful way to help other women face difficulty in life as they face cancer and all of the ramifications that come with it. Thank you for sharing your quilt and the information.

Beautiful results even if it was a bear to piece!
