Default A wild one for my daughter

The picture does not do this quilt justice - it is BRIGHT! My daughter picked out the chevron jelly roll a while back, and I asked for help deciding on the color for the quilting thread a few days ago. Here is the result. I ended up using a shiny silver colored polyester quilting thread instead of my planned silver metallic, and I am glad I did. The quilting just blends in with the numerous colors. I used a rounded echo design, something similar to a headband but more square. I thought the very linear quilt needed some softening, and the quilting helped.

The he backing and binding are a black with a small gray design. I think the dark really acts as a nice frame for the brightness.

very striking, modern quilt! It really works well with the solid colors. The close-up looks like the thread matches the background color completely...its hard to believe it is silver!
