I think you should make a lot more of the blocks for you would have an awesome quilt. Ive seen some ugly quilt blocks here but this is not one of them.

I don't think it's ugly either.
However, if you don't like the fabric, you can say it's ugly.I doubt the quilt police will be there.
You know you will like something that someone puts in as ugly...Right??

I love the block- it reminds me of opening a really exciting letter (see how the white looks like envelopes?)

And I also love the combination of the batik and the crisp white.

I would not be betting on you winning that competition.

LOL I have that fabric - I'm making a "purple quilt" for a friend and am using it as a couple borders in it. :D
