Love it!! Please put me on the waiting list, if your niece doesn't like it.

I think it will be loved by a young person. Good job.

Thanks everyone! This is only the second quilt I have made for someone and it is not as fun for me, I think because I am never sure it will be right and I hate the thought of someone pulling something out of the box and hating it. My dad sent me a very nice afghan that he bid on at an auction once and it was so not my taste. This thing is growing on me and if nothing else she can use it as a picnic blanket!

Well it appeals to me and I am 62 years young. It has a wonderful abstract/ modern feel and all the textures work well together. It is unified and complete. Nothing looks or feels odd to me in this awesome work.

Understand though, how I would not know your DDs style.
peace

I think your spot on for a bright abstract piece and person. Great quilt.

It'll be great! Do a simple geometric quilt design on it to keep it modern. No meandering!

I love it, but I'm an older, not-so-artistic lover of color.
