    My sewing room is in my basement. There is a metal outside door, so I made this quilted wallhanging to cover it. I glued magnetic strips to the back at the top and bottom then I can just lift the top down (pic 2) to let the light in.

    What a great idea...hope you don't mind me 'borrowing' it! I may try making a sleeve to put the magnetic strips in....I'll let you know later how it works

    Thank you....thank you...thank you!!!!! I will be using my basement to and have the metal door and a window next to it and couldn't figure out what to do...I'm SOOO stealing this idea!
