I haven't seen this before. I's beautiful. I think I am going to start saving reds, whites and blues to make one of these for myself!
Absolutely love it!

Another great version of the Star Spangled Banner. The waves are great. May it warm you DH on breezy summer evenings.

Wow. You just sat down at the computer and worked it out. Hmmm. I wish I had your talent. This is a really great quilt. With all of the starts and stops and now it's a finished work of art. You deserve to take a bow. Thanks for posting.

Wow, what a great quilt to give to an ex-military person... I think my son-in-law would love it... it has inspired me!

Hugs

Caroline

From your posted picture I made the same quilt. I used the 8" Curvy Log Cabin ruler modified with the hst's in the same places as yours. Mine is the same 6 x 8 blocks but the quilt only measures 48" x 64".
I am part of the Quilts of Valor Foundation. We make free quilts to honor and comfort veterans. Over 200,000 quilts have been awarded by the national group. My group has awarded 170+ quilts to deserving veterans. The flag quilt is displayed at each of our award ceremonies. We always receive compliments on the flag quilt and people as us if they can get a pattern. We would like to offer a pattern. Do you have access to one that we could have?

This is a such a clever use of the log cabin block with a minor twist. Good for you for diving in and moving this from WIP to UFO to DONE!
