Default wolf glen

Mother's day my oldest grandson brought me his quilt that I had made him for Xmas gift in 2008 and requested me to please patch/mend it for him. I did so but thought that after 10 years he really needed to get a new one since he just moved into his own apartment. so found the wolf fabric in my stash and grabbed the rest from leftovers from my "October Sky" quilt and "Wolf Glen" was born. Only had to buy the backing material as everything else was already on Hand. Hope he likeshis birthday present--will find out as his birthday is July 12th.

What a nice gift!

Don't you love making a quilt mostly from your stash? I always like doing that.

How nice! I'm sure he'll treasure it as he did the one you gave him years ago. Beautiful quilt!

Super quilt. Love the fact that he wanted to keep and mend the old quilt. He will love the new one. BrendaK

This is what we all hope happens. First quilt used, loved and returned for repair rather than thrown out. Then to top it off, you were able to make him a new one (from your stash). Sounds like a wonderful grandson.

I love the story because we all want our work to be appreciated-what can be better than a worn out quilt that someone wants repaired. I really like the new quilt your made, the colors are wonderful. Lucky grandson!
