Wooden quilt blocks
#24
Ok let me try to answer the questions. First it is compressed plywood for outdoors. DH had some left over from the outdoor Manger scene I did. The wood is about 1 inch thick, probably 3/4 knowing wood sizes. It comes in different sizes but mostly 4 by 8 sheets. The block is 12" square, my DH routered the edges round. I prepainted them with a primer. The lines were drawn on with a quilt ruler and pencil. Then I painted with acrylic paints. After the paint was dry I went over the line with a permenant black pen. There are no lines cut into the wood. I looked at the blocks I wanted and drew them out. Easy to do and the points stay pointy. LOL I hope this helps you all. Oh yes. My DH is putting a hole in the bottom to place a rod to drive it into the ground to stand up and see both sides. Ok!!! Have fun and make your own barn signs for the flower garden!!!!! Most of us don't have barns so this is a fun way to make them. Enjoy!!!!!!
