    Thanks to all for the nice comments. The pattern I used was from Angie's Bits and Pieces ( http://ajpadilla.com/ ) and the pattern name is "Life's A Hoot" however, I used the owls from Designs by JuJu which allowed me to do machine embroidery applique.

    wow! I LOVE your design and absolutely love owls! Currently finishing up the two owls on a baby quilt I'm working on featuring sheep and apples as well, but am stuck waiting on my orange thread to arrive, which I need for their beaks and feet. I'm really glad you posted your quilt. Each owl has his or her own personality, it's so great!
