CONGRATULATIONS, Melissa! Your work is too wonderful to not get ribbons.

Your BLUE ribbon quilts are gorgeous ... I presume the Purple ribbon is a special award like Best in Show or ???? Good job! I'm also so glad you are entering your work in the Fair. Isn't it fun to enter your quilts then go back with great anticipation (AND some trepidation) on whether the Judges liked your work enough to give you Blue Ribbons? At our Fair, I've seen some of the most gorgeous quilts ever made that don't get ribbons because the quilter used two different color threads in her machine when machine quilting or because an intersection isn't just perfect. I'm a "utility" quilt quilter. Mine aren't perfect so I don't submit them to the fair but I do submit other sewing projects and tons of canned and baked goods. This year I got 28 blues. I love the fair and I love your quilts.
