can you share some online stores that I could find wool packs? I am anxious to begin a project that requires approximately thirty nine different colors.
Dyed wool 85% wool or greater would be a fantastic find.
Thank you in advance... and I just luv your needlework,,,,,stunning!

To stitch down the wool shapes we use a wool thread called Genziana. Each month I get the matching wool threads. For stitching down the cotton applique shapes we get a 60 wt very fine cotton thread made in Italy by the name of Cucirini. I have never been able to find anywhere to purchase this thread - but it is truly the finest 60 wt thread I have ever used. Sue's BOM packets include all the embellishment threads too.
However, after all that - I am working on another wool project and we just use 1 or 2 strands of DMC to stitch down our wool and it is absolutely just fine. You can use either that or the wool thread. Aurifil makes a wool thread too.
For some of the decorative stitches around the shapes we use pearl 12 by valdani. The valdani variegated threads are gorgeous.
Hope that helps.

There is wool for sale on the website for our LQS Pioneer Quilts.
I also dye wool but have never sold it. However, I share it with ladies I sew with. But I am thinking of selling it as I have more now than I can ever use. Each time I dye I try to focus on different shades of a color.
There is also a gal I know who has a store on etsy called Quilting Acres who sells dyed wool. I know her personally and she is a wonderful person.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks so much,
Roxanne
(I am thinking of starting to sell my dyed wool. But wool is so expensive I hate to try to sell it and make a profit - I know I started dyeing my own wool so that I could have what I wanted.)
