I have only ever made one thing with a cut out pattern in my life and it was 25 years ago in home ec class.
I have wanted to buy a bowtuck pattern but thought I would try with a pattern my mom had first.
I am so proud that it is finished I took me all day. I did modify the pattern alittle. I added 2 extra pockets on the inside and one on the outside. I also made the sides and bottoms twice as wide as the pattern called for. I wish I would have used a heavy duty interfacing because it does collapse. But other than that I am happy with it.
Now I think I will buy a bowtuck pattern.
