Hi everyone! Just had to show you my Scrap-X quilt with H block border! I really love the watermelon theme of this quilt and love these blocks! I love the Jigsaw Puzzle block and decided to do a simplified version called the "H" block at http://quilting.about.com/od/quiltpa...t-pattern.htm. It goes together quickly and came together prefectly so it's an easy block for anyone to do plus a great way to use scraps. I just have the border laid out right now and like the look it gives so I think I will go with this. I started out thinking I wanted a white background but quickly changed my mind after I had done two blocks in white. I just drew flowers on those two blocks with permanent ink and I loved the look. To get the purple flowers, I drew first with pink ink and then overlaid it again with blue ink to get the purple I wanted. I loved the lime green/yellow flowers I did so may use this idea to create a fabric I want but can't find. Will show pics of those 2 blocks. I just call it "Hapalong." :-D :-D
and watermelon seeds too!
