Now has the DD seen this quilt? Does she know that she is getting "A" quilt? If the answer is no to both . . . go ahead and get her a different present. LOL
I have had some quilts that were gifts that I loved and wanted to keep. So I understand your dilemma. But... those are the ones that you know have lots and lots of love in them. She will also adore the work and love you put into her gift.

Ohhh my gosh!! That is soooooooooo beautiful!!! I bet you are having a hard time parting with it. Hopefully she'll at least give you visitation rights to it!!!
