    Log Cabin block is one of the, if not the most versatile pattern out there. There are books on the different ways to lays them out.

    WOW I wouldn't have thought of that in a million years. Doing a zigzag with log cabin block is really clever and brilliant. I love it.

    you can lay these out to outline a tree. It will end up with a couple white bands on the inside. You could embroider or applique various Christmas items in this space.

    Sorry I don't know the answer to your question but I just love your quilt. Log cabin is my favourite pattern.
