I don't know the name of the pattern for the quilt, however, I do know that embroidered quilt blocks are very popular in the past. What a tremendous amount of time was spent embroidering those blocks. I love to see old quilt blocks finally finished into a beautiful quilt. Nice job.

It's beautiful... so glad you didn't let all that lovely hand stitching go to waste.

My mother did the same blocks back in the 1960's, although hers was done in brown and gold. My sister has the quilt hanging on her bedroom wall. Months ago I found 2 packages of the same block unfinished at Salvation Army and have been working on them in blue tones. Can't wait until they are finished!! Thank for your posting!!

Strangely, months ago I found 2 packages of the same unfinished blocks at our local Salvation Army and I'm currently doing them in blue tones. Can't wait until they are finished. Thanks for your post.

Beautiful. It was well worth the time you put into it. Wonder what the lady in your group would think of it now. LOL.

I don't know the pattern name, but it is beautiful! You have made a gorgeous quilt. So sad someone disrespected the gift. But lucky for you! Glad to see something so beautiful rescued and used. Kuddos to you!
