Such a find! So glad you had a great day. A happy quilt has a new home and will be loved and cared for. What do you think you will use for the binding? ? Feed sacks ?

I had once made a scrap version of the apple core design from old clothes and craft fabric scraps. It looked much like the one you bought but it was tied with embroidery floss, backed with my first adult bedsheet, and bordered with lace. My daughter used the quilt literally until the threads feel apart. It was such a conversation piece for us to tell the stories that went with each piece of fabric and it's first life. She treasured it so much I endup giving the worn top to my mother to make a stuffed animal out of and my daughter still uses the once peach backing that is now white and pilled and doesn't use the new quilt I made her to replace it.

You really got a deal. My husband thought you were serious
about spending too much. I had to explain. Ha!
