Great blocks! Judy, you always come up with lovely scrappies. I wish I were as productive!

Does this block have a name? I suggest shoots and ladders😉 Just saying. Looks so complicated it could be dear Jane block.

What a difference fabric can make! The same, only different. Nice of her to give you pointers and assistance. I think you did a good job either way.

Actually its an easy block. Just rail fence and hour glass blocks using four triangles, or rail fence and "half hour glass blocks" using just three triangles. The tricky part is getting the triangles in the right places. Note the difference in the corners in both quilts.
There are many names for this block. Block Base lists:
Arrow- Aunt Martha
At the Square- Nancy Page
Colorado's Arrowhead- Workbasket 1935
Fireside Visitor- Clara Stone
Rope and Anchor- K C Star 1960
Broken Dish- K C Star 1937
Betty's Choice-Needle Craft Supply 1938.
I personally call it Arrows or Double Arrows, depending on whether you turn the colors to form single or double points.

Great job Judy... Love your choices, so pretty! Jan

Talk about a scrap-happy quilt. You nailed it. Your purple quilt is very scrappy and very happy as well. I just love it! Its going to put a smile on someone's face!
