    I planted a Dahlia in my backyard as I'm not sure I'm ready to make such a pretty block as yours.

    I learned to do this many years ago, and it was a potholder.
    My sister recently made a quilt out of the square. I noticed this is an octagon. Interesting.

    Looks great and if the white threads bother you too much try using a permanent marker the same color. Works great for me!
