I bought the pattern at a quilt shop. They have others (elephant/bunny/dog, etc.) You can also Google to order online. The yo-yo makers are not necessary but really great when you're making this many!

Thanks for the lovely comments everyone. Sorry Bevanger, it's for my DGD. I'm sure you understand! :)

How did you make the yo-yo's Did you use the Clover maker. I'm asking because I'm trying my hand at these using the Clover maker and I stink at it.

Here's a link to some Yo-Yo patterns. I did use the Clover yo-yo maker, and had no trouble. If it's not working for you, Okie, take it in to a local fabric store and see if they can help. I thought it was very easy.

I thought the head was the tricky part, and Ive actually seen kits that you can buy with the head already made for you. That would be nice.

Sorry gals, I won't be doing many yo-yos again for a while!

Great Yo-yo project!

I'vebeen sewing yo-yos for 2 years now, but haven't done a project with them as yet. Everyone Who sees me sewing them asks what I will be doing with them? I originally wanted to make a giraffe, but really haven't decided. lately I've tried to up my progress so I can complete something, but as yet just have quite a number of them. I'm making 2 different size circles & one size of hearts. Enjoy doing the & just need to carry a zip lock baggy wherever I go.

Debs :D
