Margaret, your quilt is just beautiful. One of my favorites is yo-yo's, and I really like that you did something different like not joining the yo-yo-'s. They really pop on that black background. I also like the fabrics you used, are they batiks?

You did an amazing job! Love the colors of your yo yos! Setting them all on the black really makes them stand out beautifully!

Very pretty. The colors are striking.
No matter how tough life is, it sure beats the alternative.

Thanks for all your kind comments. This quilt was a pattern from Better Homes and Gardens Patchwork Quilting magazine. It was a lot of fun. I started the yo-yo's with about a 5" circle. It was great handwork because my only machine sewing was sewing the strips together and attaching the binding. I found another one made by quilt4me: http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...t-t119908.html.

They are sewn on black strips and then the strips are sewn together. I just marked an equal distance apart for each one. I was surprised myself how easily and nicely they lined up

When I lived at Redstone Arsenal, way back then, a lady name of Winnie made beautiful yo-yo quilts. I wonder if she is still making them?

Very pretty quilt. I may have to try making a yoyo. I'm fairly new to quilting. I noticed the lamp on the night stand. I have 2 of those. Have had them for years. I think I got them with TV stamps so that tells you how old they are. I love them.
