I love owls, how lucky you were to have this one right outside your window and able to take a picture. Occasionally in the summer we can here a pair hooting back and forth, but have never seen them.

Lucky you! Owls are associated with wisdom and prosperity. In Greek mythology, the owl was often associated with the Greek goddess Athena, a bird goddess who often assumed the form of an owl. Athena was the goddess of wisdom, the Arts, and skills, and as a result, owls also became symbols of teaching and of institutions of learning, being included in the crest of arms of many universities. Your lovely owl is a "good sign"

I have bird feeders on my long deck . Never had an owl yet .He is beautiful. We did have one last fall outside our kitchen door on the deck.It scared my daughter in the middle of the night when she let the dog out to do her business.
