Yes, I like this idea too!

My honest opinion? I want your avatar!!!

I would audition some sashing. Lay the blocks out on some fabric you might consider for sashing and see what it looks like.

I like it/them and would add an extra accent to the centres - similar to a cathedral window, and fold over the edges of the centre pieces. You could put fussy cuts, embroidery or trapunto quilting pieces in that spot and I think it will finish the effect nicely.

I really like this I think I would put a narrow sashing in a light shade.

Why not add to the confusion? I'd add a sashing of the same fabrics that your corners are made of. Honestly, though, the fabrics are beautiful and anything you choose will work.

I love your blocks! I think a sashing would look good! Whatever you decide will be great!

I agree with Grannie Annie, the black could act as a stain glass window effect and also make each block really pop out instead of all blending together. Love this pattern and I am going to try it myself.

They are absolutely awful. Here's what you do, pack them up and send to me at....

Seriously, I have seen so much beauty on this board, from people who seem unsure or not quite sure of what they have created.

Folks, there is a lot of talent on here.

These batik squares are very nice indeed, and I like them tremendously. I think the final quilt will be a treasure.

And my address is.....

I would add sashing also, about the colour of your centres or audition something darker that would tie everything together ie dark purple batik. Keep us updated on your progress... it looks great so far.
