After reading all of the wonderful comments about these blades I went to HF and bought 6 pkgs. They were on sale. However I am very disappointed. The first two blades cut through a single layer only and leaving several threads uncut. The last two blades won't even cut through a single layer. I've tried turning the blades over thinking I may have put it on wrong. Anyone else have these problems? Bought them awhile ago and didn't save receipt so I guess I'll have to save my JoAnn's coupons and go invest in the real thing. UGH!

Yeah, I was kind of bummed with the ones I bought too. They're not sharpened as finely as the ones made for quilting. I suppose they don't have to be with used on carpet. Mine kept skipping threads as well. I thought it was my cutting mat but as soon as I put in regular blades from Hancock Fabrics, everything went smooth as a hot knife through butter. I don't know if one of those sharpeners would bring them up to par for quilting or not. Seems like a big investment when you don't know if it'll work.

I'm really sorry you had trouble with them.
I've not had any trouble with mine. Mine cut through several layers of fabric. I used them yesterday to cut paper and that didn't even dull them. |
Sorry to hear you gals having problems with these blades. I have had one of them in my cutter for over 4months now and still working fine. I have had a couple duds, but at a buck a blade I don't have any complaints. I'd rather toss a buck then 10....

they are really not made for our rotory cutters- they are made for cutting carpet.
if you want good fabric cutting rotory cutters you need to break down and buy the ones made for it-sorry you wasted your money |
I had a little trouble with the one in my cutter now....I turned my mat over and cut on the back side and it cuts perfect:) Problem was not the blade but my mat:)

Be sure you take them back to the store and tell them they are dull. The ones I bought online are fine.
