There is a little story behind this quilt. My first one was a log cabin for my mother and then I started this one in a class I was taking. It is Eleanor Burns Jewel Box Quilt. When I bought the fabric for this I wanted it to be for my son and didn't choose "jewel tone" colors. When the instructor saw my colors she made a comment that crushed me. So I tried to finish this, but just couldn't knowing I had not followed the rules. I ended up not working on this one for 10 years... actuallyI quit making any kind of quilts.
Now that I am quilting again I decided to finish this one...and you know what I really like my colors! So there teacher!!! Glad I got past that one! |

Beautiful, I like the colors. Please keep making quilts, you have a knack for it.
A real shame people say things to quilters that keep them from making quilts. Some opinions should not be written nor said aloud. I am glad you finished this up. What a shame you didn't quilt for 10 yrs. You just need to make up for lost time. |
