This is a surprise for my wife. I want to print on cotton fabric, all her grandchildren and give them to her as a present. She has always wanted to do this, but she is apprehensive. I have learned about Bubble Jet and Ink Aid, but I want a good cotton white fabric to print on. Where should I go? Robert Kaufman? Moda? Who? Point this old boy in the right direction. I got a lady to make happy! Dan.

Their is fabric that you run through your computer and it is great quality. It has worked very well for me. Just make sure to follow the directions exactly.

You can buy computer print fabric from any fabric store. I brought two packs, but have not used it yet. Be sure to read all the instructions before beginning.

Go to a quilting store, or good craft store. they have packages of different brands of fabric that has a finish that will except an inkjet printer. To set the photo, you just iron and then you can wash the fabric to quilt into a project.

That's is what I did, it worked great. Also another tip here from this board, use a fabric glue mixed with some water and "seal" the pictures with it, that way the pictures will never fade, I did that too. worked great!

Give Michael's store a call, Joann's or even Staples carried it at one time, and the quilting store would know for sure.

Here are some instructions

Here is the product at Michael's store

Good Luck

I would use Kona Cotton and wash and dry it first to remove any chemicals/sizing that might interfer with the bubble jet.

This link might offer some helpful advise also ...

They sell fabric that is designed to run through a printer. It comes in a pack and is paper backed (sorta like mailing labels) - check Hobby Lobby, Michaels and even the office stores may carry it.
