Saw a color tool earlier on a tute and wondered about getting one to help with choices, instead of how I think it looks in my pea-brain. Do u use one??

I don't, but if you need help with colors, then try it.
|
I have tried to use it, but it doesn't help me- I can't get it right. I just go with what I like and what makes me happy. My rule of thumb now is- if I see the colors together in my garden, and in nature - I use them.

I don't use one. I have no fear of color! LOL I do change my mind sometimes as I go along though...sometimes something looks find in a pile, but not so much in the completed project.
One thing that some people don't realize is that you don't have to exactly match colors in quilts. You don't have to have the same colors in each fabric either. If you pick a focal fabric, then start working off of that adding colors that blend (not exactly match), and vary the scale of the prints, it's easier to come up with a combination. |
Yes sometimes, but most of the time I rely on my focal fabric(s) :D:D:D

I have never used one. I figure it's my quilt, so my choice, any color goes...just have fun. No quilt police lurking about, hehehe

i have one for years now and have yet to ever use it.
i don't have a problem with color. |

I agree. Your avatar quilter is beautiful.
I have never used a color wheel - always go with what I think looks best. My quilt! |
