After being unable to find a simple reference sheet for the Carpenters Wheel quilt, I decided to make my own. I hope others will find this useful. I have included an image and a pdf file, if you prefer. Enjoy. :D

*** Please Note: I did not included any measurements so that you may make the quilt (or other item) any size that works for you. :D

Thank you. What size are the blocks?

In order to answer your question (a good one), I added a note to my post. I intentionally did not include measurements. :D

The blocks are whatever size you want. My 48" one started with 6.5" blocks, which means I cut the ones for the HSTs 7.5". Could have been a shade less, but I wanted even half inches.

BTW, 4 hours is a very liberal estimate. Mine might have taken less time if I had used only two colors, but I used eight.

Stitchinbee, that's a helpful mockup. I wish I'd had it a few weeks ago.

If you want a 12 1/2 inch block, make all of your squares or HST 2"

When I was a 'newbie' I had a moderately difficult time piecing each piece individually, without realising it could be broken into hst parts.Your diagram makes it clear to beginners and experienced alike, how one can analyse the blocks. Many thanks.
