I just wondered what you all thought of this. I was at the LQS the other day and was quoted prices for these 3 machines
$1200 for the 6500 $1600 for the 6600 $2200 for the 7700. No extras. I thought the price for the 6600 was high.. but the 7700 seemed low. I have not shopped around yet so this was the only dealer I have been to.. On another note I Love the people who work here they are all so friendly and helpful but I dont think they are willing to deal on prices. I received a email in the spring that said come to the Janome event and receive great sale prices. So I went and I was quoted $1600 for the 6600 that day to. So I was just wondering what you all thought about the prices. |
I think the price is high for the 6600. I paid $1500 several years ago with all the extras. Inflation?

I totally agree on the 6600 price. The 7700 price is great! If I didn't already have one I'd get it. I'm in northwest Ohio and I'd happily make the trip.

Great price for the 7700 however, I spent several hundred more about 15 months ago. LOVE the machine!
|
I saw the 7700 for 1999 at the Madison Show. Could have been a demo. My 6600 was 1299 two years ago.

It sounds right but what do you mean no extras? My Janome 6500 came with a clear sewing table and an assortment of feet and bobbins. No case!

Depends what came with it. My 7700 was $200 more, but it came with the clear sewing table, a cover and the big spool thread holder.

The price is about right for the 6500. Mine was close to that amount...
|
shop around i think you could do better on this price.
