Christmas Cactus in Bloom

My cactus has been in bloom for a couple wks. It was started from a pink cactus, then a start from a red one.

Thanks for sharing that picture. I love Christmas cactus. Your red one is especially pretty with it's reddish 'stems'. I'm always thinking fondly of the one my DMIL grew in her foyer. The light must have been perfect there because it was HUGE.

Thanks for reminding me that somewhere in the sewing room is a box with a large paper pieced quilt of the christmas cactus. I should start that someday soon before I totally forget it. Maybe I need to print of a picture of it to hang where I can see it. Out of sight, out of mind LOL.

I started calling mine "Thanksgiving Cactus" because they seem to always bloom in November and are usually finished before Christmas! Two of mine are in bloom - red and pink - and the white one is about ready to burst into bloom. Love them.

That is beautiful! I love Christmas cactus and have two white ones I bought last Christmas. They both have actually survived all this time, in spite of my "black thumb". Just the other day I noticed they are starting to make buds, so hopefully they'll be blooming in time for Christmas.
Thanks for sharing.
