Decals

My wife has an antique Elgin machine that I promised her I would bring back to life, which I did.
In cleaning it up I removed all the decals, thinking I could buy more. How wrong I was!! There seems to be none available anywhere!! I eventually made my own waterslide decals. I wish I knew how to put a picture on here to show you the finished machine. I'm quite proud of it. |
Well, I managed to get a picture of one of the decals I made !!!
|
Wow if thats the Decals you made she should be so proud!!

Lovely Decals
Please, if you would, share your method of making the lovely decals as there are others in the same need of them. This is quite nice and would give more sewing machines a new face lift and new life.

That's a lovely transformation. How do you make the decals? So many of us would like to know.

What a wonderful Husband!
The transformation is quite impressive! My exclamation when seeing the before and after made my husband inquire... His response, "Wow!" Many of us are interested in your technique. I just used paint markers and lots of patience to fix what little was left of my Alvin. Well done sir!

It's very complicated and quite expensive. I have copies of the decals I made except for the 'Elgin" logo's. I was thinking of offering them on Ebay.

Well, I'd buy them if you did.
