They just made a stunning announcement. Whitney Houston has died. She was 48 years old. She was an outstanding singer.

I saw that as well I went to the CNN and Washington Post website to confirm since news stations have been hacked before. I figured those two sites would confirm it, unfortunately I can't say I'm surprised she has suffered with substance abuse for some many years. At least now she can finally rest in peace, such a horrible thing to happen to such a wonderful singer and woman.RIP Whitney!

Whitney was such an incredibly talented woman. It was so sad to see her consumed by drug addiction these past years.

My thoughts go out to her family and 18 year old daughter.

Rest In Peace.

So sad! She had so much going for her and married a very bad influence.

When people choose to start on drugs they must think they won't get addicted. It doesn't work that way and lots of them end up dead, not a surprise to me. Sorry to hear it.

I was so surprised to hear this news. So sad.

What a terrible waste of human life.....may all those who peddle death be brought to justice. My heart goes out to everyone who is affected by this blight in our society....so many victims, so many families.

So sad. I pray for her DD to have the strength and courage to continue on. It will be a great loss to the music world.
