newbie and need help

hello ladies,
my name is bri I'm 22 from Florida and my husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 3 years. we recently started seeing a doctor and is praying to be pregnant soon.
I want to be a cloth diaper mommy and I wanted to make them myself.

I bought a sewing machine today off Craigslist from this older woman who was nice enough to spring me a manual but she has it broke up into sections so its hard for me to understand.

the manual she printed was for the "1954 Montgomery ward" model on the bottom of the machine it says "signature 2000"

I never used a sewing machine so any information on threading the bobbin and any other information is greatly appreciated

your best bet is to read the manual page by page and then use it to get familiar with your machine! Each one might wind bobbins a little diferrent. You might be able to go to google the book and see if there is an easier one. If you have specific questions it would be easier to answer good luck on getting pregnant! Being a mommy was the best!!!!!

thanks for responding,I believe she is missing some of the manual or she may have only printed things beneficial to her needs..

do you know where I can print a free manual??
I've been Googling this machine and I can't find much informative information..

thanks again, and I can't wait to experience motherhood

Hi Bri, Sorry I can't help you with a manual but being here you'll learn lots. Welcome!:)

It is really hard to explain threading over the Web! But an experienced sewer on any machine could probably help you. Can you ask around at church or work or your neighborhood, to find someone who sews?

Good luck!

Maybe go to your local quilt shop and see if they can help you. If your church ladies or neighbors don't sew.

There is a website that has many sewing machine manuals: sewusa.com. They are NOT free, however.

Your local quilt shop is a good idea!

If there is a Joann's near you, you could go for a beginner sewing class, and take your machine. I would bet they could help with some of your questions. A friend or sewing or quilting group would probably help too. Good Luck
