DH made an announcement.

He is thinking of early retirement and decided we should buy a boat and learn to fish. LOL. I said Okay, sounds like fun and I think I have a rod and reel somewhere in the garage, but all the fish cleaning is up to you. He grew up deep sea fishing but never fresh water fish. We have lots of lakes and a river nearby. He is now checking out the different types of boats.

Once he buys a boat you can get a long arm or whatever you want!!! Just think of the possibilities

Go for it... Hes entitled to fun and relaxation- and just think how happy he will be when he returns refreshed and rejuvenated..My Hubby has a boat- its nice that he takes off and I have a day of sewing without interruption from him.. Its a nice productive day- win win for us both..

Is he thinking a bass boat or a jon boat? I've dreamed for yrs of having a Boston Whaler...beg him to fulfill my dream.

I don't do anything differently when DH is home or away so him going fishing all day or the weekend won't make a difference. It will be me that will be changing what I do. Being on a boat with a cold beverage won't be bad at all. I'm glad he thought it up. :)

Good luck with your new plan.
