hopefully you will see it, it is called Singer tradition but i cant see any number on it and i know its a easy plane machine but all i can afford at this time; when i have more experiance and will know i m truly hooked i will save for a more advanced one , well possibly.

I know you can buy add ons so the machine will be better, i m thinking of gliding sewing foot if that is what its called,lol twin needles etc
Also i see i can get twin needles.
It would be a great help if you can help me find out what extras i can get for this machine for quilting purposes and so on.

Why do you want to sew with a twin needle? I have never worked with twin needles - never had a need to. I think they are mainly for decorative topstitching.

Do you mean a walking foot or even-feed foot? You should have no trouble finding one of those to fit your machine.

If you click the ad I posted from Target, it list it w/the same name as you said plus the number 2250 after it....you can search your machine on the singer site by the ID number on it...:)

and with foot do you mean the foot like in pedal or where u have the sewing needle in.

sorry if you find my questions silly but i am a newbie and this is my 2nd language and i m not used with sewing terms in english/american.

Foot usually means the one by the needle. (Foot pedal would be the other one.)

A "walking foot" or "even-feed foot" is a special foot you buy for the machine. The "feed dogs" are the moving teeth that move fabric through the machine. A walking foot feeds the fabric from above too, which makes both layers of fabric move together more evenly. A walking foot is very helpful for certain sewing tasks.

A twin needle is used mostly for decorative top-stitching. It is not used much for quilting. It is used mostly to stitch parallel straight lines on clothing hems.

It is better to buy a good used sewing machine than a cheap new one. If the one that came up in the picture is your machine, I think you may become frustrated with it.

i only know its called singer tradition and i m sure it will be ok if not i can always use my mums old one.
However i wanted to have one at my place so i didnt have to go to mums all the time for sewing.

I didnt have another option if i wanted a sweing machine to say it frankly, it was the most reasnoble priced i could find with a well known brand, like singer and Janome which is the most used and known here in Norway.
If i had more money i would have bought a little more advanced or better one , i dont belive always the price has so much to say about the quality and this case it was this one i could afford on my tiny disability benefit.

Singer's used to be good machines, and a few of the more expensive machines may be decent machines, but I would run away from the cheap ones and even the medium priced ones. My personal opinion.
