What can I make with this jelly roll?
I ordered a Moda scrap bag recently and received it this week. I got a Jelly Roll made up of mostly black, Brown, Gray and very few cream colors. Real somber looking. Maybe I could add to the mix to make something spectacular, ya think? Suggestions appreciated.

Depending on what you are envisioning, you could add a bright or light neutrals or several brights or. . .
Or you could split it up among several different quilts, using various ones for sashing. |
I'm one for brights, myself, so as Mom-6 says, you can add some to the mix. I also have seen some amazing paisleys in the stores with greys, black, some taupe/beiges and adding one strong print in that has the same colors as your jelly roll could be powerful. The price was right on the scrap bags and picked up a few myself and they're on my shelf waiting for their time at the machine.

I think I would add scarlet to the black/brown/gray and creams.

What about doing a jelly roll quilt and add red. My friend went to a quilters retreat and they made jelly roll quilts. They added a 2 1/2 square on the end of every jelly roll and then sewed together. When they had one long strip they cut off 19 inches and then start sewing together . It was really cool looking

What about turquoise/kingfisher blue? It also goes well with these colours

I'm making this quilt, I had some leftover civil war jellyroll fabrics, and I needed to use them for a challenge quilt I'm making.

I had a similar color palette in this "jelly roll" . I did not find it "somber".

KimT do you mean they cut every 19" after the whole long strip was finished then sewed it all back together or the quilt was 19" wide finished? I like the sound of adding the squares on the end of every strip? I bet it was very striking.
