A Minne-sn*w-ta Hello!

Somewhat new to the board! I love crafting...always have! When my kids were younger I scrapbooked their photos. Now they are adults without children(28 yr old daughter, 25 yr old daughter, and a 22 year old son). SO I got the old sewing machine back out to play and relearn (and to finish a project). I fell in love with the fun of creating quilts and such that I went and bought a new quilting/embroidery machine. BEST THING EVER! Wow things have changed ...this machine threads it's self with a press of a button. :D haha!!!! I do have to confess I broke a quilting board rule by asking for scrap material so that I can learn how to applique some cute little bugs with the new machine. oopps! I won't do that again! Now this coming winter I plan to do some quilts and smaller projects to better know my machine. My dream is to own my own retreat getaway near my home. Open to all crafters....including myself with my friends! haha  Well I love this site so far! I did a fall swap of fat quarters and that was kinda fun, maybe I will see and meet more of you crafters better over the fall and winter season! -Teri

Welcome from beautiful western North Carolina. My 3 sons are in their 30s and 40s, but while they were growing up, I didn't have time to sew because I also taught school, as well as attending all their school functions and sports events. I sewed from the time I was a young girl until sons came along. When I retired from teaching school, I took quilting classes at the local community college. I have enjoyed quilting, although I haven't done much in the past couple of years. Hope you learn lots here!

Welcome from Ontario, Canada. It takes a while to learn the QB ropes and I still goof up sometimes.:)
