noisy crackle fabric or atleast that is what I am calling it. It is on baby toys and even some cat toys. It make a crackly sound when you rub it. My girlfriends new baby absolutely loves the sound it makes and I want to make something out of it. She said something about maybe a touch blanket.

Does anyone know where I can get it. Also has anyone used it. THANKS!!!

It sounds like it would be fun, but I have no idea. Is it washable and durable? Will have to keep my eyes and ears open!

I bought some insulated batting at JoAnn's for potholders. It feels weird, and it did make a crackling noise. Don't know if that's what you're looking for.

Haven't seen anyhting like that while shopping but then again I wasn't looking for it.

Could you try some bubbly wrapping instead of batting?

How about cellophane? You know, the stuff that you put around gift baskets?

I know what you are talking about and yes it is washable. They put it in soft baby toys and I have thrown them in the washer and dry half way in the dryer, line dry the rest of the way.
I too, would love to find this material to make my own baby toys!!!

Use old chip bags, the shiny kind. Cut them open flat and wash them well and sew them in between the layers of fabric you're using.

I know what fabric you are talking about, but I have never seen it in the fabric store. That would be great to use in a blanket.
