Trouble with Horrizon
I have a Janome Horrizon that has started banging or getting very loud when I want to sew fast. Has anyone else had this problem. Just want to know if this is something I can fix myself. <<<Greeter Eva>>>

If you've tried rethreading, redoing the bobbin, and changing the needle and still have the problem, you might need to have it oiled. I had a machine that would do what you're describing, and the repairman said it was bone dry, and all it needed was an oiling. Good luck!

I used to own the 7700. Although I didn't have this happen w mine, I'd read it may be the bobbin case. Good luck!

I had a 7700 that was making a fair amount of rattling noises. Took it in for standard servicing, and found out that there were a few burrs on the bobbin carriage. The burrs were sanded down, and the machine was fine. If your machine is really making a lot of noise, I would stop sewing and take it in for servicing. You don't want to damage your machine even further by continuing to sew, hoping the problem will fix itself. If the needle is hitting anything other than fabric, the timing can be thrown off as well. General service in my area is $110, plus parts. Pricey, but worth it when you consider the value of your machine.

Try taking out the bobbin case and seeing if there is any lint caught up under it. Sometimes just a small piece of thread caught under it can cause that problem.

Thank you to all of you. I've tried everything you said & I still have the banging. I will try to oil it once more & then I'm taking it in.
