Hi everyone,
To say that I am a novice would be putting it mildly. I have not touched a sewing machine since Jr. HS and I am 41 tomorrow!! I am a nurse and I take care of a lady with end stage AD. She was a wonderful quilter and she has inspired me to learn the craft. I have a few books on the subject from the library, but wow, do I have alot to learn! Any tips on machines or just wishing a newbie luck, because I am going to need it! |
Well, corgi you have come to the right place. There are so many talented quilters on here that will gladly help you every step of the way. I have learned alot in the short time I have been a member of the board. Good luck, but just fair warning both quilting and this forum are addicting.

Welcome from florida, and we all have a lot to learn about quilting. It's as diverse as the fish in the sea...that's one of the things that's so great about it :D
You just jump in, and start splashing around, and learn as you go along, while looking at books, mags, and tutes on this site, and post questions when you hit a bump, and pictures, when you get over the bump! We loooove pictures, and you are in for so much fun  |
