tiny vacuum for cleaning sewing machines and keyboards
I have been looking for the small vacuums that are used to clean electronics and things. I looked at Walmart and Office Depot. The associates at Office Depot kept saying canned air? I said no, a vacuum that sucks up the dust. All we have is canned air. I know some of you have these; so where did you find yours?

Try Amazon and use the search feature with "computer vacuum cleaner". They work wonderful on sewing machines as well as computers.

I don't know of a tiny vacuum for this purpose. What I use is a tiny hose set:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BSJCLY/ This attaches to the nozzle end of most vacuum cleaners, including both regular vacuums and handhelds. You can also use a regular vacuum cleaner hose by attaching a straw to a crevice tool with painter's tape. This doesn't work as well as the mini kit, but not too bad. |
I have this set and it works great. I got mine from clotildal [?] . Maybe try Annies catalog.

I believe I've seen these in the Annie's catalogue (or the Keepsake Quilting catalogue).

I got one at Harbor Freight, it's a hose with an adapter that fits your regular vacuum cleaner hose. It comes with several cleaning attachments and only cost me $10.00. www.harborfreight.com

Nancy's Notions has a nice little compact vacuum. Also, connecting threads has a set of attachments that work with your regulated vacuum but are small for computers & seeing machines. They work great.

I have used my regular attachments but put a knee high on the end and stood back a bit. Knee high would catch the small parts so they wouldn't get caught up in the machine, like small screws. I don't even like to use the clean air on my computer key board.

Try Nancy's Notions, COnn. Threads. I love mine!
