Best tutorial for quilt as you go?
 

I have not done QAYG and would like to try it.
Which tute would you think is the easiest?
I have looked at several but can't decide on
the best.

Have you looked at the string quilt tutorial by Ditter, this is also on the quilt board. I think that one is a good one I guess it depends on the type of top your making. Good luck!

It came out pretty good, only suggestion I have is to use the same fabric for the backing and the strips that will be on the back, and matching bobbin thread because the stitching is not always going to land on the strips!

[ATTACH=CONFIG]517966[/ATTACH]The following is how I have done all my Queen and King size quilts.

1. Complete top in 3 sections.<O:p></O:p>
2. Back is to be completed as a whole<O:p></O:p>
3. Batting is to be cut into 3 equal sections<O:p></O:p>
4. Sandwich the center section of the top, 1/3 of the batting in the middle of backing.<O:p></O:p>
5. Quilt this section <O:p></O:p>
6. Lay one of the side sections on top of the center section with right sides together. Pull the backing out of the way. I usually pin the 2 sections together.<O:p></O:p>
7. Sew these two pieces together the same seam width as the rest of the quilt.<O:p></O:p>
8. Pull the backing and top out of the way and zig zag a new section of batting to the center section of batting<O:p></O:p>
9. Quilt this section from the center section out having the bulk of the quilt to the left side of the machine.<O:p></O:p>
10. Repeat numbers 6,7, 8, 9<O:p></O:p>
11.Add any boarders and quilt each boarder.<O:p></O:p>
12.Finish and bind.<O:p></O:p>

I believe that the gourmetquilter has quilt as you go on her youtube videos.

I learned QAYG from Leah Day, as part of her Quilt Along and found her instructions very easy to follow. I have a British version of the link, so it might be best if you Google it - Leah Day quilt along 7 QAYG.

Made my first one following gourmetquilter. So easy and happy with results.
