Can use some help looking . . .

I am pleading for help. I have been looking for what seems like forever online with no real luck. And I have been to 6 different quilt shops too, no luck.

My best friend from North Carolina, who lost her husband suddenly in April 2013, is completely redoing her master bedroom. When they built their house, the room was built around the furniture that her husband had when they married. She decided to sell the furniture and completely change it because it was just too hard on her being in his room. Also, she awoke in the middle of the night and found him, called the ambulance that took him to the hospital where they told him that he was brain dead. Sometimes she wakes up and thinks it is happening again, or that the whole ordeal was/is a bad dream.

So she is refinishing some antiques that she has found and repainting everything. The quilt on their bed was their wedding quilt made by her sister. So I want to make her a quilt for HER new room.

So - my search is for a main/focal fabric that is a combination of turquoise, yellow and gray. I have had some luck with turquoise & gray and yellow & gray in nursery fabrics, but not anything right. HELP ME!!!!

Ideally - which I know will never be found - is a nice, medium size print with all three colors and then I will add the three colors to pull the colors from the main fabric. So, have at it. Show my what you have found - online, in your stash, at your LQS, anything.

Thanks. I know that with your help, I will be able to make Sallie a new quilt for her new bedroom to make it a little easier to live her new life.

I only have time for a quick search, but this sort of matches what you are looking for.

I just went to fabric.com and looked under blue and yellow; floral; flowers;....you could do a similar thing at different sites and surely you will find something that is pleasing to you.

You are a good friend.

I did a search for 'turquoise yellow grey' on quiltshops.com and 24 items came up. Might need to try again with "gray". Here's a link to a couple.....

Hope that gives you some hope...... it is out there!

Thanks for the links Dina. The yellow in these fabrics is actually chartreuse, not yellow. That is the problem that I am having. Chartreuse is one of those 'color of the year'.

Thanks sweet. I had not seen that first fabric line. And of course I LOVE the flannel. THAT is exactly what I was thinking of. But she lives in North Carolina and flannel is not practical.

Lots of images came up when I put 'turquoise, yellow, gray fabric' in my google search box. Clicking on the individual images will get you to the various websites.

I live in NC and flannel is wonderful, especially in the winter! I've used it many times.
