Bobbin Keepers
I've searched here for a thread about various bobbin keeper methods, but I can't find it. Can someone please post a link? I know there's been a lot of chatter about organizing bobbins so I'm not trying to start a new thread on an old topic.

This is how I store my bobbins!

I just use the little fuzzy pony tail holders, works great for me.

My husband bought clear plastic tubing and cut it just wide enough to fit inside the bobbin (about 1/4 inch) then cut a slit to slide over the bobbin thread. Tubing was about 30 cents a foot at Lowes/Home Depot and it works great.

For my quilting bobbins I put them behind the spool of thread they go to it I didn't use it up. I also keep a couple that are almost empty near my quilt machine to use up when I go to baste the batting and then the top to the frame. It will be hidden within the binding so why not use it up that way. For my regular sewing threads I have these plastic thingies that you put onto the top of your spool that holds the bobbin to the spool it goes with. Also have the ponytail thingies but have yet to use them. In my drawer next to the machine I have a plastic case made for storing bobbins too. That was my original way of storing them but now I like the plastic inserts on the top of the spools better. I have one of the plastic cases for each machine so not to mix them up. Have a wire basket on my pegboard above one of the machines that holds my empty NEB bobbins as I use them for when I do a small mending job.

I'd be interested how quilters store their big cones of thread and bobbins together.
Right now I use an elastic but not too happy with it. There has to be something better. |

I use the little foam pedicure thingys I get at the dollar store...but love the magnetic board idea

I use the BOBBINI thingies. They keep your bobbins matched with the spool they go with. Love them!

The way I store the large cones of thread and bobbins together, probably isn't the best but it works for me. I use a piece of scotch tape and tape to the spool, pony tail thingys for the bobbin and put both in a sandwich baggy, then store in the respective drawer.
