Looking for pattern: Rose Garden

Hi, I am wondering if anyone knows if there is a way to get the pattern for this quilt?

http://www.risingstarquilters.org/sh...PeterStringham

It is about halfway down the page. I really like it, but I can't find a pattern anywhere and I'm not sure how the background was made. If I can get help figuring it out, or find the pattern that would be awesome.

Thank you!

Emily

i found this. Not sure if it is what you are looking for, but it said modified snail trail.

If you look at the quilt you can see the snail's trail block. It looks like the last round of triangles has one edge that makes part of the side, the triangle tip has the background coloured triangle sewn on the top and rectangle sewn on the other edge with a triangle on the end. Pretty easy if you draw it out on graph paper.

Looks like a snail's trail block set on point, with half hexigons and filler strips...
Cool pattern, thanks for posting, I'm going to try and sketch it out. If successful I'll post!

I agree, it is just a modified snail trail. Very pretty and original indeed. I doubt he is selling this pattern because nothing is on the internet but two pinterest posts.

i couldn't get the pdf link to open either. was going to thank you for sketching it out, but that post has been removed. oh well ..like everyone is saying, it's just a modified snails' trail, so it's easy enough to replicate your effort :)

i did manage to link into robs' websites and looked at his gallery, his kits & patterns for sale and he has two free quilt patterns ..but nothing resembles the quilt on the rising star page. that's a beauty. the block would also be great beginning for a scrappy snails' trail quilt. or interspersed with scrappy snails' trail blocks.

thanks for starting this thread quiltingbee12!!!!

What a lovely quilt! Thanks for sharing. The snail trail has been on my to-do list, but I have waited for the "right" project.....this could be it! I hope someone finds a link to the pattern!
