For those interested in sewing 18" doll clothes,

apparently Joan Hinds is closing her business as of the end of this year. Her website is having a clearance sale. Most of her books are already sold out, but they will remain available through a distributor and, of course, they are often available used on Amazon and eBay. However, her pattern packets will no longer be available after this year. I have no experience with her patterns; I think most people just use her books. However, I do plan to start making doll clothes soon (as soon as I finish a few of my quilts!) so I loaded up on the patterns that I thought were unusual or hard to find, such as the international collection and the nutcracker collection. As I recall, everything is close to half price.

I won't post the link here, but if you Google Joan Hinds you will find it. The website where she is conducting her clearance sale is Fancywork & Fashion.

I used one of her books to make 18" doll clothes for two DGDs. Her ideas and patterns are great. It was fun while it lasted:) The girls have outgrown the dolls now. Prism99, I hope you get to start on some soon, such fun!

Our local library carries
some of her books.

I made lots of doll clothes for my 3 grands. Of course, they are outgrown, but I really had fun making them.
