apparently Joan Hinds is closing her business as of the end of this year. Her website is having a clearance sale. Most of her books are already sold out, but they will remain available through a distributor and, of course, they are often available used on Amazon and eBay. However, her pattern packets will no longer be available after this year. I have no experience with her patterns; I think most people just use her books. However, I do plan to start making doll clothes soon (as soon as I finish a few of my quilts!) so I loaded up on the patterns that I thought were unusual or hard to find, such as the international collection and the nutcracker collection. As I recall, everything is close to half price.

I won't post the link here, but if you Google Joan Hinds you will find it. The website where she is conducting her clearance sale is Fancywork & Fashion.

I used one of her books to make 18" doll clothes for two DGDs. Her ideas and patterns are great. It was fun while it lasted The girls have outgrown the dolls now. Prism99, I hope you get to start on some soon, such fun!

I made lots of doll clothes for my 3 grands. Of course, they are outgrown, but I really had fun making them.
